The History of F.P Journe
François-Paul Journe was born in Marseille, France in 1957. He developed an interest in watchmaking at a young age, and he began his apprenticeship at the age of 14. Journe worked as a watchmaker for several years, and he eventually opened his own workshop in Paris in 1982.
In 1991, Journe founded his own watch manufacture in Geneva, Switzerland. He released his first watch, the Chronomètre Souverain, in 1999. The Chronomètre Souverain was in a huge success, and it established Journe as one of the leading independent watchmakers in the world.
In the years that followed, Journe released a number of other successful watch models, including the Tourbillon Souverain, the Octa Lune, and the Centigraphe Souverain. Journe watches are known for their innovative designs, high quality craftsmanship, and exclusive production.
